You have given feedback – we have listened.
During LLB Expo 2026, we are once again inviting you to a comparison of moving LED luminaires for stage front lighting. The aim is to give visitors the opportunity to evaluate luminaires for a possible future switch from traditional front lighting to moving solutions.
This year’s test was developed in collaboration with the Royal Opera House’s lighting department, based on the methods they use to evaluate luminaires.
The luminaires in the test should be of the type that can deliver a stage front light of about 15 meters throw length.
Cost per participating luminaire: 3 600 SEK excl. VAT.
Arrangements
The element of competition is removed – no winner and no loser.
Instead, visitors will keep their own logs where the luminaires are assessed anonymously. After each test, a record will be kept of which luminaire is which, so that participants can link their impressions to the correct manufacturer and model.
The protocols are collected and compiled after the fair. The results are shared with participating suppliers.
In connection with the test site, there is the opportunity to present both the luminaire and you as a supplier.
Examples of test steps
- Color rendering against skin tone
- Lighting of painted/printed background
- Lighting of person in wig and stage makeup
- Lighting of props
- Color mixing and smoothness in combination with gobo projection
- Function and optical properties of the spade package
The test is carried out by an experienced light operator according to a pre-established protocol.
Technical conditions
Light table: grandMA3.
To participate, the supplier must provide a working GDTF file for the relevant luminaire, brackets including hangers for 50 mm tubes and power cables.
